- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb ground pork
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp fennel seeds (optional)
Soak breadcrumbs in milk; mix with meats, Parmesan, egg, garlic, herbs, and spices
Form into 1 ½-inch balls
Heat oil in skillet; brown meatballs 8-10 minutes
Simmer in sauce if desired
Serve with pasta or as appetizers
