Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low
  • Sauté garlic 1 minute until fragrant
  • Add cream; simmer 3-4 minutes until thickened
  • Whisk in Parmesan until smooth
  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg
  • Stir in parsley; serve over pasta

Notes

  • Use fresh Parmesan for the best texture
  • Keep heat low to avoid curdling
  • Store in fridge for 3 days or freeze for 1 month
  • Reheat gently with a splash of cream
